mySportSite is Shutting Down
We are saddened to say that we have reached the end of an era:
mySportSite is shutting down renewals effective immediately, and disabling the service as of July 1, 2025.
We appreciate the support of our customers over the years, and are thrilled that so many teams have utilized one of the first sports team website services.
Unfortunately at this point it no longer makes financial sense to keep running the platform, and we urge our customers to find a new solution as soon as possible (list of options included at the end of this post).
Important Shutdown Information for Customers
When will my site be shutdown?
- We will fully honour all existing annual subscription terms. For example if your subscription expires on April 5, 2025, your site will remain active until that day. The service will be fully shutdown on July 1, 2025.
- We are no longer accepting site renewals and have disabled all purchasing functionality. We realize that some customers have sites that expire very soon, and this may not leave you enough time to setup another platform. If you have an active site that expires before Oct 1, 2024, contact support@mysportsite.com to have your expiry date extended to Oct 1, 2024 on us.
- It is no longer possible to purchase a new website package. We urge you to look at the list of fantastic competitors that are currently out there and to build a new site there as soon as possible.
What happens to my domain name?
All mySportSite websites come with a complimentary domain name for the duration of your subscription. If you wish to retain your domain name past your website's expiration, you will need to transfer it to a different registrar. Please contact support@mysportsite.com for help with this.
IMPORTANT: you MUST contact us at least a week before the expiration of your domain name in order to transfer it. Should the domain expire, any party will be able to register it (including domain squatters).
How do I move to another team management platform?
We strongly urge our customers to explore other team management solutions and to save any data from their current site prior to site expiration. The following are examples of popular platforms:
